What the app stores
Your timers (names, rounds, times and sound choices) and a few settings (sound on or off, screen on or off, light or dark) are saved on your iPhone only. They're never sent to us or anyone else. If you delete the app, they're deleted too. If you use iCloud Backup, they're included in your iPhone's backup, like any other app's data, under Apple's privacy terms.
What the app doesn't do
Ringside has no account or sign-in, no adverts, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party code that collects data. It doesn't use the internet at all. The app's privacy manifest and its App Store privacy label both say Data Not Collected.
Siri
If you start a timer with Siri, your request is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Ringside only receives the name of the timer to start, or the rounds and times you asked for.
Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
While a workout runs, the countdown is shown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island using iOS Live Activities. This happens on your device only.
Children
Ringside collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
